The minister of state and foreign affairs and current president of the Council of the European Union, Luís Amado, will hand over the Presidency of the Council of the EU to his Slovenian counterpart, Dimitrij Rupel, on 31 December.
This symbolic act will be the last one to be performed by the Portuguese Presidency of the EU and will take place in Funchal, at the City's Quay, at 16h00.
